Complete urinalysis

The urine flow cytometry test allows the assessment of renal function and the diagnosis of possible urinary tract disorders. The test includes a physical examination that assesses the colour and appearance of the urine, a chemical examination that highlights any substances present in the urine and a sediment examination that analyses the presence of cellular and non-cellular residues.

A urinalysis is usually requested in the case of a suspected urinary tract infection and in the case of pharmacological treatments for diabetes, kidney stones, and kidney or liver diseases to assess their efficiency.
